Creative Workshops
The aim of the “Creative Workshops” activity is to produce and organize annual, high-quality cultural events for children, young people, and the whole family.
The feedback has been very positive, and the events, with their diverse workshops, have been highly appreciated. Themes such as collaborative creativity between children and adults, as well as the use of recycled and natural materials, have worked particularly well. The events have been open and free for everyone. The main event is the annual Creative Workshops Festival, which takes place around the turn of June and July.
The activity began already in 2015, when mothers in Fiskars organized the first festival on a voluntary basis in the apple park near the playground. In 2017, the association Luovat Pajat rf was founded.
In 2019, the activity was moved under the Fiskars Village Association for administrative reasons. Since then, it has operated as an independent team with its own board responsible for planning, organizing, and financing.
The organizers of Creative Workshops are the art educators:
Annika Lintervo, Inka Yli-Tepsa, Pia Nieminen, Tiina Tuunanen, and Hanna Utriainen.
