The purpose of the association is to promote cooperation among the village residents, support the vitality of the village, and act as a guardian of the residents’ common and general interests. In addition, the association strives to promote well-being as well as hobby and cultural activities. Participation in the association’s events and activities does not require membership.

To fulfill its purpose, the association participates in village planning and seeks to influence decision-making in various organizations. The association submits initiatives and proposals, provides statements to authorities and other organizations, carries out information activities, and participates in the planning and implementation of development work in the villages. The association organizes meetings as well as hobby, entertainment, and cultural events.

To support its activities, the association has the right to receive grants, donations, and bequests, own and manage movable property, carry out publishing activities, and, with the appropriate permits, organize lotteries, bazaars, and sales events — excerpt from the statutes of Fiskars Village Association rf.

In recent years, the Fiskars Village Association has strongly invested in the well-being of children and young people in the village. We cooperate closely with the city, the Fiskars Company, and the local branch of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare in Fiskars. We also strive for regional cooperation with neighboring villages.

General well-being and social interaction play an important role in Fiskars Village. The Kieloniemi sauna, the village hall in the Tako building, and the scout cabin are actively used and have become an important part of the village’s social life.
